ScubaHub was born by bringing together two worlds that rarely overlap: professional software development in demanding sectors, and real operational work inside dive centers.
Behind ScubaHub is more than 8 years of experience building software in large companies across critical sectors such as aviation and banking. In those environments, software is built with rigour: clear systems, reliable processes, strong security, and tools that need to work when entire teams depend on them.
That crossover of perspectives makes something visible that is not always obvious from inside the industry. In environments where coordination, traceability, and organisation are essential, it becomes clear that many dive centers are still managing bookings, courses, availability, payments, students, and communication with paper, spreadsheets, WhatsApp, or overly manual processes.
That can work when the volume is small. But when the center grows, problems start to appear: duplicated information, last-minute changes that do not reach the whole team, incomplete forms, payments that are hard to track, and too much time lost searching for data or coordinating operations.
That reality became even more obvious while working in one of the dive centers with the highest volume of SSI certifications in the Maldives. The day-to-day of a center at that volume has everything: planning instructors and boats, groups, international guests, documentation, certifications, payments, and constant coordination between reception, staff, and instructors.
It is not a generic platform adapted to diving. It is software created specifically for dive centers, with technical judgement and real knowledge of how daily operations work from the inside.
